Theatre professional:
I am a 27 years old composer and musician based in London.
As of November 2018, I graduated with distinction from Edinburgh University studying a masters in Composition for Screen.
I first realised I wanted to pursue composition during my first year of my undergraduate degree at Royal Holloway University. The concentration and passion I developed for composition accompanied me throughout my studies. My course focused mostly on 21st century compositional style, and although I learnt so much about scoring, orchestration and techniques, I knew I wanted to focus on a different style of composing. I had always found film music to be inspiring, and realised that my main goal was to become a film music composer.
My masters in Composition for Screen has broadened my knowledge of compositional techniques, including composing with electronics. It has enabled me to partake in some interesting opportunities, such as participating in the Regard Croisé masterclass at the International Film Festival d'Aubagne, where I collaborated with other students from Europe in the composition of music for the film Viaduc.
I have spent three months in Rovigo, Italy training with film composers Marco Biscarini and Daniele Furlati within the frame of the Conservatorio di Musica "Francesco Venezze". During this time, I partook in three masterclasses with composers Franco Piersanti, Andrea Bellamonte, and Gabriel Thibaudeau. This enabled me to conduct my own piece with a musical ensemble, as well as take part in a cine-concert with music composed for a scene from "Les 400 Coups".
I have also participated in a masterclass with Jeff Rona and Helge Borgarts at Soundtrack Cologne in August 2017 where I gained feedback on a piece composed for a specific film that was then created in a loop to be used for games. Furthermore, I had the pleasure to perform a duet with Jessica Kelly of her nominated piece at the closing ceremony of Soundtrack Cologne.
